The horses of Fire and Ice
Icelandic horses are something else, most people will agree on that. Personally, I just love them. Small, sturdy, friendly and spirited character, elegant and very impressive.
I breed both top class competition prospects, as the perfect leasure and medium level competition horse.
When breeding Icelandic horses I focus on my main breeding goal, combining a very correct & strong conformation, the most friendly, intelligent, calm and yet spirited & willing character, a nice color & exiting pedigree of champions and high quality gaits.
I breed both 4 gaited as 5 gaited horses and try to make the best match possible between the future sire and dam, looking at FIZO and competition results, BLUB score, pedigree and the individual stronger & weaker points of both mare and stallion.
A very good character enforced by the best raising creates a balanced, self-secure, friendly, curious and happy horse, suitable for both competition riding, breeding, happy forest rides and just being your best friend for life.
I breed purebred AQHA horses, focusing on mainly the Reining and Ranch Riding disciplines and overall leasure and ranch work horses.
When breeding Quarter Horses it is very important to look at health and conformation. Due to the physically quite heavy work that most Quarter horses are expected to preform in modern sports, it is extremely important to have a sound, strong horse, with correct legs, strong backs and a balanced body.
I only breed with completely panel free horses, meaning they are free of hereditary diseases.
My goal stays the same as always, breeding talented, top potential horses with a beautiful color, good health and the best character. Brave, loyal, hard-working, trustworthy, intelligent, friendly and naturally relaxed & balanced.
I breed with proven bloodlines, combining the best with the best and creating the complete picture that comes quite close to ‘the perfect horse’.
Unlike many Quarter horse breeders, I don’t breed to get the best money-earners and producers, I breed to create a happy, healthy horse that will be someones lifetime partner and friend.
Many people see crossbreed horses as lesser horses or less worthy. But they might suprise you!
When breeding with great care and only selecting perfectly fitting and improving crosses between stallion and mare, you get something unique.
Most of the time well-bred crossbreeds are actually healthier with better characters and just as good potential as purebred horses, as you can combine the best of two breeds.
My focus with crossbreeds lies in breeding foals suitable for all disciplines, both english and western, with the potential for competing as well as recreational leasure riding and just having fun together.
I try to mix A+ character, good gaits, strong conformation, nice color and great allround talent.
I don’t just mix breeds, I select fitting stallions with the most care, looking at good health and how they will compliment the qualities and downsides of the mare, to create an even better offspring.
The main goal is that great character, that you will just love, your future once-in-a-lifetime horse!
