I breed Icelandic horses, Quarter horses and totally unique crossbreeds.
But no matter the breed or cross, the goal is largely the same. To breed foals who just have it all…

BOARDING AND RAISING

Just as with our breeding goals, we also try to give a complete picture to ensure the best start a horse can have.
We offer a full-boarding service for foals born at LionHeart and limited space for other foals. Your foal will be in the best hands!
We combine the important factors of natural environment, lots of individual love and attention, highest quality care and fulfillment of all those horsey needs:
–24/7 access to large natural pastures consisting of 15 acres most of which grassland
– A mixed herd of both mares and geldings of all ages and breeds that raise the youngsters in horse language and teach it to become balanced and relaxed
– 24/7 access to two big open stables of 14×6 meters and 10×5 meters
– Unlimited high quality hay from big hay nets
– High quality PAVO feed containing all the essential minerals and vitamins needed for growing youngsters & highest quality mineral stones
– Hardened gravel path for natural hoof grow and management
– Natural horse playground with a small stream, thick branches, large stones and all kinds of natural obstacles that teach horses body awareness & balance
– Daily human contact, where they learn the basics in a fun and relaxed way. Daily cuddles, love & attention, foal ABC+ and more advanced training also possible for older colts
– Full-boarding service, daily feeding, mucking out, fresh water and attention for your youngster, full care is taken!

TRAINING
“Sometimes a horse is only trying to tell you something. It is our job to listen and give the horse what is needs so desperately”
Sometimes a horse is not understood what leads to the horse trying to tell you something, what we humans see as wrong or dangerous behavior.
But those horses are not bad beings. They are merely not understood and try harder each time to be heard. How good the intentions of most people are, sometimes a horse is just too far gone to be helped or the owners do not know what to do.
We at LionHeart can give these horses another chance. Without time pressure, expectations or goals we try to figure out what the horse needs and learn the horse a new way to express itself. Sometimes a horse is traumatized, scared, uncertain or so closed of they do not react at anything anymore. These horses get what they so need here at LionHeart.
Understanding and help.
In training I don’t follow a book or the methods used by others. I follow what the horse tells me it needs and how. No matter how long it takes, all horses can be helped.
I also start young horses under the saddle and train all kinds of horses, no matter the breed, discipline or type, all horses are welcome!
RESCUE HORSES
“You cannot save all the horses in the world, but you can save the world of a horse”
I also give horses who have lost their trust in humans a new chance. Horses that are traumatized, have problem behavior or where the owner can’t care for them anymore.
I also import horses from places where they lived in bad conditions, to give them a better life. Horses that where abused, starved or neglected get what they need here.
These horses come to me, often so scared they cannot even be touched. They get all the time and patience they need. When they are ready I start to teach them to trust again. To enjoy working with humans and to live like a horse should. They learn to be happy again.
And that is the ultimate goal!
